Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Milk
- 200 g Butter
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 150 g Plain flour
- 250 g Pitted dates
- 1 Icing sugar for dusting
- 300 g Semolina
- 1 tablespoon Butter for filling
- 3 tablespoons Rose water

Mix semolina, flour, and melted butter. Add rose water and milk. Rest dough for 1 hour.

Cook dates with butter and cinnamon until a smooth paste forms. Cool.

Take walnut-sized pieces of dough. Flatten, add a teaspoon of date filling, and seal.

Shape into rounds and press decorative patterns with a fork.

Bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden (not browned).

Cool completely and dust generously with icing sugar.
