Beef Kofta Curry

Ingredients

  • 200 ml Coconut milk
  • 1 Onion
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 400 g Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 1 Fresh coriander for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala for kofta
  • 1 Steamed rice for serving

Instructions

    Mix beef mince with grated onion and garam masala. Roll into walnut-sized balls.

    Heat oil and fry kofta until browned all over. Set aside.

    In the same pan, sauté diced onion and garlic until softened.

    Add cumin, turmeric, and chilli powder. Cook for 1 minute.

    Pour in tomatoes and coconut milk. Simmer for 15 minutes.

    Add kofta to the sauce. Simmer for 10 more minutes.

    Serve with steamed rice and fresh coriander.
