Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 240 ml Vegetable oil
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 240 ml Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 Cream cheese frosting

Instructions

    Mix flour, cocoa and salt.

    Beat sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time.

    Add buttermilk, food coloring and vanilla.

    Mix in dry ingredients.

    Combine baking soda and vinegar, fold into batter.

    Divide between two 9-inch pans. Bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.

    Cool completely. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
