Ingredients

  • 200 g Bacon rashers
  • 100 g Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 200 ml Chicken stock
  • 1 Cajun seasoning
  • 500 g Large shrimp
  • 200 g Stone-ground grits
  • 100 g Sharp cheddar
  • 1 Green onions

Instructions

    Cook grits according to package. Stir in butter and cheese. Keep warm.

    Cook bacon until crispy. Remove, keep fat.

  3. 3

    Season shrimp with Cajun spice. Cook in bacon fat 2 minutes per side.

    Add garlic, cook 30 seconds. Add stock, simmer.

    Serve shrimp over grits. Top with bacon and green onions.
