Ingredients

  • 1 Pastry: 300g flour
  • 1 Filling: 1kg apples
  • 1 Egg wash

Instructions

    Make pastry, refrigerate 1 hour.

    Peel and slice apples. Toss with sugar, flour, spices and lemon juice.

    Roll out half the pastry, line pie dish.

  4. 4

    Fill with apples, dot with butter.

    Cover with remaining pastry, crimp edges, cut vents.

  6. 6

    Brush with egg wash.

  7. 7

    Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes, then 180°C for 35 minutes.
