Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 8 slices Bread
  • 300 ml Milk
  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 Dijon mustard
  • 8 slices Ham
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 Nutmeg
  • 200 g Gruyère cheese

Instructions

    Make béchamel with butter, flour and milk. Season with nutmeg.

    Spread mustard on bread slices. Layer ham and cheese.

    Top with béchamel and more cheese.

    Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until bubbly.

    Fry eggs sunny-side up.

    Top each croque with a fried egg.

    Serve immediately.
