Ingredients

  • 50 g Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 4 Large potatoes
  • 1 Fresh rosemary
  • 1 Oil for frying
  • 1 Fresh thyme
  • 1 Coarse salt
  • 1 Black pepper
  • 2 Ribeye steaks
  • 1 Béarnaise sauce for serving

Instructions

    Soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.

    Fry potatoes at 150°C for 5 minutes. Remove and increase heat to 190°C.

    Fry again until golden and crispy. Season with salt.

    Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Sear in a hot pan with oil for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.

    Add butter, garlic and herbs. Baste steak.

  7. 7

    Rest 5 minutes before slicing.

  8. 8

    Serve with frites and béarnaise sauce.
