Ingredients
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste
- 300 ml Milk
- 50 g Butter
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 8 slices Ham
- 8 slices White bread
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- 200 g Gruyère cheese
Instructions

Make béchamel: melt butter, whisk in flour, gradually add milk. Stir until thick.

Add mustard, nutmeg, salt, pepper and half the cheese. Stir until melted.

Spread béchamel on one side of each bread slice.

Layer ham and cheese between two slices, béchamel side in.

Spread more béchamel on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake at 200°C for 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
