Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bicarbonate of soda
  • 225 g Strong white flour
  • 7 g Fast-action yeast
  • 300 ml Warm milk and water mixed

Instructions

    Mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add liquid. Beat until smooth.

    Cover and prove 1 hour until doubled and bubbly.

    Stir in bicarb. Rest 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook in greased rings on griddle until holes form and set.

  5. 5

    Flip briefly. Serve toasted with butter.
