Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 400 g Golden syrup
  • 375 g Shortcrust pastry
  • 150 g Fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 Clotted cream for serving

Instructions

    Line tart tin with pastry. Chill 30 minutes.

    Warm golden syrup. Mix with breadcrumbs and lemon.

    Stir in beaten egg.

  4. 4

    Pour into pastry case.

    Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes until set.

  6. 6

    Serve warm with clotted cream.
