Bread and Butter Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 50 g Caster sugar
  • 8 Bread slices
  • 100 ml Double cream
  • 50 g Sultanas
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.

    Arrange the buttered bread in an ovenproof dish, sprinkling with sultanas between the layers.

    Whisk the eggs, sugar, milk, and cream together.

    Pour the custard over the bread.

  5. 5

    Grate nutmeg over the top.

    Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the custard is set and the top is golden.
