Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 500 g Leftover roast meat
  • 300 ml Stock or gravy
  • 50 g Butter or dripping

    Melt the butter or dripping in a large pan.

    Add the onions and cook until softened.

    Layer the potatoes, meat, and onions in the pan.

    Pour over the stock or gravy.

    Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 20-30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

    Serve hot with oatcakes.
