Ingredients

  • 50 ml Milk
  • 50 g Butter
  • 1 Onion
  • 400 ml Beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 500 g Minced beef

Instructions

    Brown the beef in a large pan. Drain off any excess fat.

    Add the onion and carrots and cook until softened.

  3. 3

    Stir in the stock, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato puree. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.

    Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with the butter and milk.

    Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.

    Spoon the beef mixture into an ovenproof dish.

    Top with the mashed potato.

    Bake for 20 minutes, until the potato is golden.
