Ingredients

  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 litre Vegetable oil
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 400 g Sausage meat
  • 50 g Flour

Instructions

    Boil 4 of the eggs for 7 minutes. Cool immediately in cold water, then peel.

    Divide the sausage meat into four.

    Flatten each piece of sausage meat and wrap it around a boiled egg.

  4. 4

    Beat the remaining egg.

  5. 5

    Roll each sausage-wrapped egg in flour, then the beaten egg, then the breadcrumbs.

    Heat the oil in a deep-fat fryer or large saucepan to 160C.

    Fry the Scotch eggs for 8-10 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

    Drain on kitchen paper.
