Ingredients

  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Onion
  • 500 g Shortcrust pastry
  • 300 g Beef skirt
  • 1 large Potato
  • 1 small Swede

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.

    Divide the pastry into four.

    Roll out each piece of pastry into a circle.

  4. 4

    In a bowl, mix together the beef, potato, swede, and onion. Season well.

    Spoon the filling onto one half of each pastry circle.

  6. 6

    Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.

  7. 7

    Fold the other half of the pastry over and crimp the edges to seal.

  8. 8

    Brush the pasties with beaten egg and make a small slit in the top.

    Bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
