  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 Bread slice

Instructions

    Bring a small pan of water to the boil.

    Gently lower the egg into the water and cook for 4-5 minutes for a soft-boiled egg.

    While the egg is cooking, toast the bread.

    Butter the toast and cut it into strips ('soldiers').

    Place the egg in an egg cup and serve with the soldiers for dipping.
