Salt and Pepper Squid

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Plain flour
  • 1 Lemon wedges
  • 500 g Squid tubes
  • 1/4 cup Cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon Cracked black pepper
  • 1 Aioli

Instructions

    In a bowl, combine the flour, cornflour, salt and pepper.

    Toss the squid rings in the flour mixture to coat.

    Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 180°C.

    Cook the squid in batches for 1-2 minutes, until golden and crisp.

  5. 5

    Drain on paper towel.

  6. 6

    Serve immediately with lemon wedges and aioli.
