Classic Aussie Meat Pie

Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion
- 500 g Beef mince
- 2 tablespoons Plain flour
- 1 cup Beef stock
- 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Sheets of shortcrust pastry
- 2 Sheets of puff pastry
Instructions

Heat a little oil in a pan and cook the onion until soft.

Add the mince and cook until browned.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually stir in the stock, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.

Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease 4 individual pie tins.

Line the pie tins with shortcrust pastry.

Fill with the beef mixture.

Top with puff pastry lids, pressing the edges to seal. Trim any excess pastry.

Brush the tops with beaten egg and make a small slit in the top of each pie.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
